Welcome to BlueInk Reviews, where self-published authors receive serious reviews from professional critics. In our effort to bridge the gap between old-world and new-era publishing we’re equipping book professionals with the tools they need to locate the self-published books that will appeal to their readers.

We’ve developed some unique search features on our review site just for you. To help you refine your searches for the books of interest to your market, you can search for:

Notable titles: Just interested in the best books? Click on “Notable Reviews” and you’ll find books that have earned Starred Reviews or BlueInk Best Book Awards. You can further refine the search by selecting categories, such as “Nonfiction,” and “Pets.”

Books set in your region or written by local authors: We’ve archived reviews according to the regions they are set in, as well as the current residence and native hometown of their authors. This way, you can find the books that are of special interest to your local communities.

If you want to get even more specific, type in the name of your particular town in the Google search box. Any review that mentions that town should appear.

Books with notable sales records or author achievements: We offer authors the opportunity to add a note to their reviews if they have sold an impressive number of books, won special achievements, or have access to large audiences. Check “Author Platform Listed” or Sales Figures Included” to limit your category search to titles with these designations.

Our Power Search features other useful sorts, including author location and book setting, and of course Category and Subcategory. In addition, we’ve set up a robust keyword search of our reviews only, so that you won't get bogged down in the general site search when you're interested only in reviews.
